When the 4 bedroom Terrace home at 5371 Pacific Terrace sold for $1,800,000 earlier this year it seemed like a one off……while it was a very dialed in home and offered a premium location….it was priced WAY higher than anything ever had been.   And is sold for full price.  Apparently it wasn’t a one off after all as a similiarly located 5531 Palm just sold for the same record setting price.

The home was listed by Lisa Babros & Carrie Miller of Vista Sotheby’s International Realty.

Similar to 5371 Pacific Terrace, 5531 Palm was street facing (although detached the “interior” units in the Terraces are much less bright with a tighter feel) so it offered one of the more sought after locations.

Hollyglen and Del Aire Home Sales and Prices in February

After some sleepy months for home sales in the gated community of Three Sixty South Bay, things took off in January and February. There were 7 homes sold in the Hawthorne neighborhoods of Hollyglen and Del Aire in February and 3 of them were in Three Sixty.

The average “asking” price for the 7 homes was $1,050,557 with an average sold price of $1,070,571.

Of the 3 homes that sold in 360, one was a top floor single level condo at 12920 Central Unit #401 that had been on the market for a hard to believe 343 days before going into escrow and selling at $775,000.  Another was a very different story as 5419 Strand #105 sold for over list price and went into escrow after only 5 days on the market.  The third sale was a fairly similar 2 bedroom townhome in the row at 5355 Strand #103 that sold for $1045,000 after 12 days on the market.

July was a good month for home sales and home prices in Hollyglen and Del Aire in Hawthorne CA.

The average “list” price was an impressive $1,084,843 and the average sales price was almost  $1.1M meaning that homes sold above the list price.
